On Tuesday, June 13, from 3:30 to 5:00 the Bemis Anime Team will watch and discuss various anime movies. The featured film will be "Fruits Basket 1". Light refreshments will be served.

The Binning Family Foundation along with Bemis Public Library would like to invite you to join us in the 2006 Summer Film School. The film school will take place on Tuesdays from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, with open lab times on Thursdays and Fridays from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at the Binning Family Foundation 1269 West Littleton Boulevard. Note: the first meeting will be held June 6, 11:00 at Bemis. Registration begins on May 27, at Bemis. Only 40 participants will be allowed to register, so act fast! There is $20 dollar fee for the film school that will begin June 6 and end on August 4. Please call (720)506-0101 for more information.

The Summer Reading Program (SRP)is about to begin! Bemis' theme is Dragons! Please check this blog regularly to determine activities and times. Early dates to be aware of are:

Saturday, May 27th-this is the start of registration for both the Summer Reading Program and Film School
Tuesday, June 6th-first day of Film School at Bemis, 11:00 am
Wednesday, June 7th-first movie of SRP "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire", 2:00 pm

Bemis will host the American Red Cross Babysitter's Training on June 8th, 2006. The class will go from 9:00 am to 3:30 pm, and the cost is $50. You will need to bring your own lunch and in order to register you should call 303-722-7474. This class is directed towards teens from 11-15 years old. (The class will be at Bemis).

Littleton Police will again be hosting a Junior Police Academy for Middle School age students (6th-8th Grades). The Academy will be held at Arapahoe Community College from June 19th thru June 23rd from 9:00am to 10:30 am. Students are presented with T-Shirts as well as a class photo, certificate and Police patch. Registration is through ACC Summer Youth College. For additional information contact Officer Marty Keilman at 303-795-3741. Family and friends are invited to the Graduation Ceremony on Friday June 23rd at 10:00am.
